Okay, I totally do not blog well anymore

I swear, taking that time off totally got me off the blogging mojo train! I swear I've been around but between kids, family, dogs, designing and everything else in between I never remember to blog! I really need to get back into it LOL!

I have yet to update with new products that I put out! I have been at The Digichick since September and I haven't updated this with any products created since I joined there! Not good...So here are previews of some of the things I've put out since my last blog post:

I have a few other things I may have created in between these but it has slipped my mind LOL! I'm just keeping busy and trying to stay inspired these days. Walk away for a sec and look what happens!

It seems it's been a while since my last blog! Yipes! That was totally unplanned seriously...Lots of changes in my house and I still haven't gotten into the swing of things. I'm a creature of habit and well, change is really hard for me to accept and adapt to. Let me explain...

So, I bet you're wondering what I've been up to...Well, simply...My kids are both in daycare. No surprise there, I've blogged about it in one of my last posts! But you have to remember, this would mean for the first time in 2 years I have been ALONE for more than an hour at a time! It's crazy how I never realized the simplest, albeit selfish, things in life once again: to watch my own tv shows again, to drink coffee at my own slow pace, to hear nothing but SILENCE. It's the little things really and I relish it every morning after I drop my kids off at daycare. It's been a vacation of sorts believe it or not! I have finally found portions of ME that I'd feel I disconnected with years ago...You bet, I'm STILL relishing it! LOL!

Secondly, I revisited what it was like to just BE a mom and wife again. No work, no deadlines, no stress...I enjoyed the heck outta that! I'm more a relaxed person than ever before in terms with work. I am working at my own pace again and not having to keep pushing stuff out, working and burning the midnight oil making sure it's all done by the deadline. I hated that only because it caused so much stress on my kids and my family as a whole...I don't want to be there again, seriously which is why I've implemented and am STILL fine tuning a new work schedule. It includes working Monday to Friday, THAT'S IT. No more weekends for me which includes checking the forums! I think I may have to change that rule because of this next paragraph...

Third, having a new 'home' at The Digichick has taken more time for me to adapt than I had anticipated..It's such a complex forum! LOL! So much going on, my head keeps spinning but I'll get the hang of it soon enough. I have to literally kick myself to check the forums and subforums..It's alot to take in and I hate that I'm missing out on things. I need a better system with that, I could swear it wasn't this complicated before ugh..

Fourth, no lies here..Twitter...I'm addicted to the conversation and the networking of such fantastic and talented people. It's a constant conversation, I can't help but be sucked in LOL...I really should turn my phone off when I'm working though LOL! 

Now before anything, I have been working and releasing things..Just really at a much slower pace. I haven't remembered to update with previews here! Ack, I'm such a flake! LOL! Please bear with me, I'm really trying here. So I hope this kinda explains where I've been and what I've been up to. 2009 has been an interesting year in a way. So many highs and lows, successes and failures. It's alot to handle sigh..I'm hoping 2010 is the year that things really change for the better again. It's really been a very tough year for me personally...I hope you'll be there to see 2010 along with me..

A slightly late announcement lol...

Yep, I am a little late announcing the opening of my brand new shoppe at The Digichick! I have to admit, my brain has been fuzzy this past month. Between bringing home a new puppy into our home, being sick for a week, prepping my kids for their first real day back at daycare (my lil one has started daycare now too :( ) and redoing previews in time for the grand reopening of TDC, blogging was the last thing on my mind...! However, I'm back from enjoying a few weeks off from designing! It's taking me a little while to get back into the swing of things I have to say LOL! Hmmm, maybe I shouldn't have taken those weeks off! Hehehe!

Anyways, I wanted to keep this really short :) You can find my new shoppe here There aren't any new products up for this week anyways since I haven't designed this month but all the products that were in my {We Are} Storytellers shoppe are made available in my TDC shoppe..Enjoy!

Dreading this post...

I have been dreading this post for weeks now...No matter what I think or do, I'm still heartbroken about the news I got a couple of weeks back about {We Are} Storytellers closing. I am beyond sad, shocked, heartbroken and at first, speechless. Funny, as I write this, I still think I am speechless.

I have been at {We Are} Storytellers for 8 months now and I have never been so proud to be affiliated with such an extremely talented, gifted and creative group of people. From the CTs to the owners Deann and Patrick to my fellow designers, I felt nothing but kindness, warmth and camaraderie that will make closing so much more harder to accept. It's been a tough year economically for everyone, I haven't been spared of this so I know and understand the reasons why {WST} is closing. While I accept it, it's a tough pill to swallow still.

Before I continue any further, I wanted to share the last collaboration that the designers and I have created:

You won't see our products at these prices again - at least, not for another while lol. The sale starts today and will run until August 16th, 2009. After that, the doors will close sigh...

{WST} will forever be remembered as the place to 'tell your stories'. I will forever remember it as a place that really taught me how to be a artist and how to keep striving for the best. My last words on this:

To Deann and Patrick, I know you will open the next chapter with something great and I hope that our paths cross once again in the near future. I will miss you both so much.

To my designers, thank you for pushing me creatively. I will miss working with you all. You are one bunch of classy girls :)

To the CTs, I hope our paths cross as well one day. Keep spreading the word of telling our stories. You all simply ROCK. :)

As for me? Well, we shall see...Who knows what will happen? I will definitely still be around. Right now I am enjoying being a wife and mom again. I want to enjoy what Summer we have left here. My babies will both be attending daycare full time come September. I just want to relish having my lil one home with me for a little bit longer.

A quick post today..

This will be short...I have my niece coming over tonight with Ben leaving to head out of town for work this weekend so I'll be home tonight with 3 kids alone! Ahhh! I gotta get lots of stuff done before she heads over, namely this post LOL so let's start already...!

This week's Book Fair..Uhm, I swear, did I not just do one the other week?? Time is passing way too fast for me ugh..So this is what I came up with this time:

I think it came out pretty cute :) I actually had these designs on my EHD for quite a while and never worked with them until now. I just wanted something cute for my Book Fair kit, I thought this was appropriately summery and fresh :) I know, I actually did an alpha too, that never happens for me!

Next, new products for this week..

Okay seriously, I'm really digging these two products, especially the library cards. I think they came out really pink and girly and cute! I'd love to do some scrapping with them but it's kinda tough since I have 2 boys. Maybe I should use it for a sister layout..hmmm...or a hybrid album! OOoohhhh...! In any case, it's my 2nd installment in a series of colored library cards. I think they're pretty cool but then again, what do I know lol...

That's it for me this week...I've been stressed over the last week and a half with deadlines which ALWAYS seems to be that everything I need to do needs to be done all at the same time! It's frustrating at times...Sigh..Anyways, off to tidy up the house :) Have a great weekend everyone!
